Help yourself and others to build resilience through a series of free Mental Health Fitness workshops to be run across the Scenic Rim region during March.
Based on four key concepts – Endurance, Strength, Flexibility and Team, the two-hour interactive face-to-face sessions are being offered over three afternoons and evenings at Tamborine Mountain, Beaudesert and Boonah.
Mental Health Fitness covers strategies to boost mental wellbeing, recognise where someone may be on the mental fitness continuum and connect with mental health support services when needed.
Presented by Mental Health First Aid Australia for Scenic Rim Regional Council, this project received grant funding from the Australian Government.
Workshops will be held on Wednesday 24 March at the Vonda Youngman Community Centre, Tamborine Mountain; Tuesday 30 March at The Centre Beaudesert; and Wednesday 31 March at Boonah Cultural Centre.
Session times at each venue are 12pm to 2pm and 6pm to 8pm. Event information is detailed on Facebook for Boonah, Beaudesert and Tamborine Mountain sessions.
