Luxury accommodation and bush adventures, day tours and gourmet sheep cheese were among the tourism products showcased at the second Scenic Rim Tourism Showcase.
Nearly 50 tourism operators from across the Scenic Rim gathered at Cedar Creek Lodges on Tamborine Mountain to network and share their stories at the event.
Tourism operators showcased at the event were Cedar Creek Lodges, TreeTop Challenge, Ketchup’s Bank Glamping, Towri Sheep Cheeses, White Chapel/ Black Hall/ Herrmann House Kalbar, Country Mile Escape, Prestige Day Tours, Wildlife Tourism Australia and Binna Burra Lodge.
Each operator presented a three minute overview of their business to their peers.
Scenic Rim regional success stories were in the spotlight, with an update given on the region’s national wins at the delicious. Produce Awards and the Economic Development Australia awards.
Attendees also heard progress updates on the Scenic Rim Adventure Tourism Strategy, the new Richest Place on Earth, in Australia marketing campaign developed with support from Tourism and Events Queensland and plans for celebrating the 10th anniversary of Eat Local Week in 2020.
The next Scenic Rim Tourism Showcase will be on 29 January, 2020 at Black Hall Kalbar.
