Scenic Rim’s $1. billion economy is diverse in nature and reliant upon the sectors of agriculture, tourism, key service sectors and construction.

Based on Queensland Treasury forecasts, Scenic Rim’s population is expected to reach more than 67,000 in 2041, with the majority of this growth taking place
over the next decade.

Creating valuable jobs for locals will remain the key to continually building a more diverse, sustainable and vibrant economy into the future.

Scenic Rim’s three main centres of Beaudesert, Boonah and Tamborine
Mountain are the largest in terms of population, but a number of smaller
towns provide a depth of character and uniqueness to the region.
