In September 2020, the Scenic Rim Regional Council, through the Request For Quote (RFQ) process, sought to engage an appropriately skilled industry specialist for the development of a Scenic Rim Smart Region Strategy (the Strategy) for the region. The development of the Strategy will ensure the region’s business and community embraces the global digital trend, in order to advance its economy, attract investment, build prosperity and improve its community’s lives and lifestyles, ultimately enhancing the liveability of the Scenic Rim region. Through the RFQ process, Council has appointed CyQIQ to research and write the strategy.
CyQIQ is a passionate team of professionals with technical skills spanning design and architecture, software engineering and development, cyber security and governance, and support. They will provide strategic guidance to assist the Council to improve workflows and efficiency and use technology to make our region more liveable and sustainable.
Previously known as Smarter Technology Solutions, the company has rebranded to CyQIQ in the past year.
CyQIQ is pronounced Psychic – which is a reference to the company’s future focus, innovation and has reference to Cyber, Quality and Intelligence.
Scenic Rim Regional Council wishes to then adopt a Strategy that has been developed in consultation with business, industry and community, and which presents its digital priorities and affirms its commitment to smart collaboration, planning, design and local services to ensure full community and business participation in the digital economy.
This project not only considers the services Council provides to both external and internal customers but critically and essentially the needs of local community and industry.
The business industry is invited to attend to a workshop, as a key contributor to scoping the project, and it is critical for businesses input to be captured and included, as well as discussed.
The business industry workshop will be held at The Centre, 98 Brisbane Street Beaudesert, Monday 14 December 5.30pm – 7.30pm. A light supper will be served. This will be a COVID Safe event.
The workshop purpose is to understand the local context, economy and the future needs of the region. This workshop will allow the CyQIQ team to understand the current state, capture any ideas, activities and needs from industry to be considered in relation to how they may fit into a wider Smart Region strategy to support prosperity and growth within the region.
