The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has advised that Scenic Rim individuals and businesses impacted by the bushfire disaster are eligible to seek tax relief.
To access this assistance, phone the ATO on 1800 806 218 or contact your tax or BAS agent, who will be able to work with the ATO to provide appropriate support.
While the ATO website has a list of eligible postcodes, which does not include the Scenic Rim, the ATO has advised Council that they encourage individuals and businesses impacted by the bushfires to contact them to discuss their personal circumstances so appropriate assistance can be provided.
