PUBLIC MEETING to be held on Tuesday 23 & Thursday 25 February 2021
Water for Warrill Irrigation Project – Feasibility Study – Round 1 Demand Assessment
To assess the demand for additional water supply in the Warrill and Fassifern Valleys, Council with Jacobs, is hosting community information sessions in Kalbar and Harrisville.
In 2020 Warrill Valley Irrigators approached Council seeking financial support for a feasibility study on potential new water supply opportunities and projects for the Warrill and Fassifern Valleys.
Council has engaged Jacobs to undertake the study to map where the investment should logically be, assess demand for additional water and conduct a full economic impact analysis.
The two public meetings are being held to canvas interest in the proposed Water for the Warrill Project. Irrigators, financial institutions, other local businesses and members of the public are welcome to attend. The meetings are best suited to potential investors and prospective commercial customers of the proposed Water for the Warrill Irrigation project.
