The Scenic Rim’s rich landscapes, vibrant villages and world-class visitor experiences have been brought together in a stunning new Visitor Guide designed to inspire travellers to explore deeper, stay longer and connect with the heart of the region.
The new 64-page Scenic Rim Visitor Guide will be officially unveiled to the regional tourism industry at a launch event on Wednesday 20 May, celebrating a collaborative project delivered by Visit Scenic Rim and Destination Scenic Rim.
Packed with inspiration and practical information, the guide showcases the region’s diverse tourism offering — from breathtaking natural wonders and scenic drives to boutique accommodation, local flavours, authentic country hospitality and unforgettable experiences across the Scenic Rim.
Scenic Rim Mayor Tom Sharp said the guide would play an important role in supporting the continued growth of the region’s visitor economy while strengthening awareness of the Scenic Rim as one of Queensland’s leading tourism destinations.
“The Scenic Rim is home to an extraordinary selection of experiences that continue to attract visitors seeking genuine connection, nature-based adventure and premium regional tourism experiences,” Mayor Sharp said.
“This new Visitor Guide beautifully captures the essence of our region and provides visitors with the inspiration and information they need to confidently explore our towns, villages and landscapes.
“It also reflects the strength of collaboration within our tourism industry, with Visit Scenic Rim and Destination Scenic Rim working together to create a valuable resource that supports local operators and encourages visitors to immerse themselves in everything our region has to offer.”
The guide features a series of curated multi-day itineraries designed to encourage travellers to venture beyond a single destination and experience more of the Scenic Rim’s unique character, helping to drive longer stays and greater visitor spend across the region.
Destination Scenic Rim Chairperson Mary-Clare Power said the guide was an important tool for tourism operators across the region.
“This guide has been developed to not only inspire visitors, but to actively support our tourism industry by showcasing the incredible breadth of experiences available throughout the Scenic Rim,” Ms Power said.
“It tells the story of our region in a way that encourages exploration, discovery and meaningful connection with our communities and experiences.”
From Wednesday, 20 May 2026, the Scenic Rim Visitor Guide will be distributed to visitor information centres, tourism hubs and key travel touchpoints across Queensland and surrounding states, helping to position the region front-of-mind for future travellers. The guide will also be available in digital format from www.VisitScenicRim.com.au and www.DestinationSceinicRim.com.au.
