Scenic Rim businesses are continuing to make their mark across Queensland and beyond, with a series of recent award wins reinforcing the region’s reputation as a powerhouse for authentic tourism, agritourism, and excellence in public infrastructure and planning.

Local Wedding Venues Celebrate Statewide Success

Three Scenic Rim venues have been recognised at the 2025 QLD ABIA Wedding Awards, highlighting the region as a premier destination for weddings and celebrations.

White Chapel Kalbar and Herrmann House achieved outstanding results, taking out:

  • Runner Up – 1st Night Honeymoon

  • Winner – Function Coordinator

Tamborine Mountain Glades also excelled, receiving:

  • 3rd Place – 1st Night Honeymoon

  • Runner Up – Function Coordinator

  • Winner – Hotel Resort Venue

In addition, Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavender Farm proudly secured 3rd Place – Restaurant Reception, further showcasing the Scenic Rim’s exceptional hospitality offerings.

Distillery Excellence on the Global Stage

Tamborine Mountain’s award-winning spirit industry continues to impress internationally. The Cauldron Distillery earned a Silver Medal at the prestigious International Wine and Spirits Awards in London for its Queensland Single Malt Whisky, scoring an impressive 94 out of 100. This achievement reinforces the region’s growing profile in the craft beverage sector.

Scenic Rim Takes Gold at the 2025 Queensland Tourism Awards

Scenic Rim Regional Council once again cemented the region as Queensland’s premier paddock-to-plate destination, securing Gold for Excellence in Food Tourism at the 2025 Queensland Tourism Awards for its celebrated Eat Local Movement.

This recognition builds on consecutive wins—Silver in 2022, Bronze in 2023, and Bronze in 2024—and reflects the depth and diversity of the region’s agritourism sector.
From Eat Local Month and Farm Gate Trail to Scenic Rim Farm Box and Council’s Food Ambassador Program, the movement continues to lead the state in immersive, place-based food experiences.

Scenic Rim Regional Council was also honoured at the 2025 IPWEA Annual Conference, where the Beaudesert Town Centre Revitalisation Project received two major accolades: Road Safety Award and Public Works Project of the Year. These awards highlight Council’s commitment to delivering well-designed, future-focused public infrastructure that enhances safety, accessibility and economic vitality across the region.
